Djokovic Wins 22nd Grand Slam, Tying Nadal

MELBOURNE, Australia - Novak Djokovic secured his 10th Australian Open title and 22nd Grand Slam overall, tying Rafael Nadal's record for the most men's singles Grand Slam victories.

The Serbian defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5) to clinch the historic victory.

Djokovic, 35, has now won two more Grand Slams than Roger Federer and Pete Sampras, who are tied with 20 titles each.

The Australian Open triumph also marked Djokovic's return to world No. 1, a ranking he had held for a record 387 weeks before losing it to Carlos Alcaraz in November.

Djokovic's victory solidifies his status as one of the greatest tennis players of all time and sets the stage for a thrilling year of competition in men's tennis.
